Data Recovery Request Form

This form is used to help recover data from the CAE backup system by asking questions related to the requested data.

• This is for data on the CAE network only; we cannot recover data that were stored on your local hard disk.
• In order to speed up the recovery process, please answer the questions to the best of your knowledge.
• Requests are handled on a first come first serve basis and usually take anywhere from 2 to 7 days.
• We will try to restore mail and news files, but we do not guarantee it.

Important note: Our backup system runs once daily, late at night. Data that exists during this late night backup is archived. In order for data to be restored it must be backed up. For data to be backed up it must exist for a minimum of 24 hours.

Data Type:	Files in your CAE Account MySQL Database
If you are requesting restoration of files in your CAE account, You may be able to restore the files yourself. Please try the procedure in our knowledge base. Please see one of the following knowledge base documents for instructions, based on what type of workstation you are logged in to. Windows/UNIX File Recovery Please fill this section out to request recovery of files in your CAE Account.

Database Restore Type:	Replace - Replaces your current database with the contents of the backup. Append - Adds the contents of the backup to your existing database. Rename - Places the restored data in a new database of a different name.

Recovery Type:	Restore - Restores all messages that were in the mailbox on the recovery date. Rename - Places all messages that were in the mailbox into a new mailbox.
